“The early years’ provision at St Peter’s is outstanding. Young children enjoy focused individual teaching in small class sizes boosted by lessons from fully qualified teachers for Music, Games and French.”

Children can join St Peter’s nursery the day after they turn 3 for full or part-time education. Your child will study a broad curriculum, including teaching from French, music and sports specialists. In Forest School and Beach School – our outdoor classrooms – nursery children develop independence, language and communication skills. The atmosphere in our nursery is hugely supportive and fun. Children acquire a love of learning but pastoral care is a big priority. We have a dedicated Matron on site and all staff are first aid trained.

The environment is stimulating and engaging, with much made of our woodlands, pond area and adventure playgrounds. Nursery doors open directly onto large green fields and open spaces. The children enjoy running, lots of exercise and we have a place for creative and messy play as well as opportunities to role play. Nursery children develop independence, numeracy, language and communication skills, with Beach School being the highlight of the week. We also have our own Forest School and conservation zone.

The progress made by children in our early years’ setting is outstanding.
