Children learn Spanish, in addition to French, from our modern foreign language specialist teachers.
Our Year 1 teacher wrote:
“It’s off to sunny Spain this week in Year 1. We had our first Spanish lesson and learned greetings and counting. Caelan was a super assistant to Senora Evans and shared his prior knowledge of the language with his classmates. Later in the week we learned about the work of the Spanish Architect Antonio Gaudi and looked at his use of mosaic in the buildings and structures he designed. We used mosaic tiles in a project to design and make a drinks coaster. After attaching our tiles to our baseboards we learned how to mix and apply grout to seal and make our coasters fully waterproof. Some Year 1 mums may enjoy a handmade product this Mother’s Day to use with their breakfast.”
